Fort Stevens is on the Oregon Coast next to the Columbia River. This area is often referred to as the Graveyard of the Pacific with hundreds of ship wrecks in these treacherous waters.

Not much is left of this magnificent sailing vessel. But it is a grim reminder of how dangerous these waters can be. It looks so calm and peaceful today. Hard to imagine that a terrible storm beached this ship.
