Storm over the Tetons, Jackson, Wyoming 2007 Home | Previous | Next

5/27/2007
I stood in the rain as a nasty storm rolled in over the Grand Teton Mountains just south of Yellowstone National Park. I took five pictures and had to combine them in Photoshop. Aside from fixing two dust spots and using a feathered delete along the edge of each picture to make the composite, I did not make any other adjustments to this photograph.

This is my personal favorite. The final print size is 30 inches wide x 8.25 inches tall.

I have an older lightning photograph that was a favorite for many years that I took in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1979 with an Canon SLR. But this storm over the Tetons picture has a lot of mood to it and is now my favorite.
